So anyhoo...
Remember, way back when, when I asked for your input on what fabric I should pick to sew new curtains for my kitchen? Well, what do you know, I'm finally blogging about it! Oh I could've forgotten all about that post, way back when, but my OCD tendencies will not allow it. Something about leaving stuff undone or unfinished. I'm a freak, it's true.
If you need a refresher, here's the link http://sjandcc.blogspot.com/2010/07/in-need-of-your-opinion.html

#3 - 5 people loved this fabric (one of the most popular)

So what did I choose for my curtains... drumroll please.
#13 and #14!
They are so lovely and my curtains turned out so great!
Pics to proove it. (these were taken with my cell phone. the quality, stinketh)
How cute did these turn out? And the stripes go so great with the floral-like print.)
For the french doors I sewed curtains with the striped only. Love them.
This is a section of the bay window. I bought a gramet/ring kit from JoAnns. It was very easy to install. A little cutting, and snapping the rings together.
So far, I have received countless compliments and they look great in my kitchen!
The plan this week, is to post at least 3 times this week! Am I nuts? Maybe. And I'm seriously considering posting my OCD calendar again! I've kinda missed obsessing about carpet stains, and cleaning my oven.
Cute curtains, I'm glad to hear you are still alive and kicking.
ReplyDeleteAh I've missed you! You are hilarious, and what is even funnier is the fact that your son licked the toilette bowl!!! hahahaha.... sorry to laugh so hard, but my kids have done some thing that make me say, REALLY??? What were you thinking??? But yours tops them all :)
ReplyDeleteLove the curtains! You are so ambitious, I want to be like you in every aspect, even the OCD, I pray for the OCD to hit me one day.
jen--you give me no hope at all!!! I'm also hoping for my little fireball to slow down soon, but it looks like I might be dreaming.
ReplyDeleteCurtains are so cute! you are a talented seamstress (is that how you spell it???) note the STRESS in the word!! ;)
life seems to keep us hopping, so enjoy every moment (except for the toilet licking ones).

Ahhh!!! Cute curtains!! Love them. And your blog looks great too! Quite refreshing, huh?!? I need to come over and look at your handbag patterns.
ReplyDeleteI thought 3 was WAY harder for Jacob (okay, mostly it was harder for me)than 2 was. Sorry, but it's true. It stunk. 4 was better. We can hope for the same results for you because you need a break woman!
BTW - I missed your blogging and I'd love to see your OCD calendar.
ReplyDeleteI have been looking for fabric to reupholster a chair and I cannot find anything I love. Where did you get your fabric? I might need to ask for opinions like you did. Choosing can be so hard...
ReplyDeleteYour curtains BTW are lovely. I like a bold pattern. Good job.
