Holy crap - it's about time I blogged

The last couple of months have been a blur. One big, freakin', blur.

I feel over worked and underpaid. Between church callings, kids, sewing projects, Christmas, making clay ornaments and housekeeping, I am officially POOPED. And so, the previous mentioned list is my excuse as to why I haven't blogged for so long. There were times when I really, really, wanted to... then the exhaustion set in. Most likely due to Homeboy.

Really, kid? Can you please give me a break? Must you continue to get into random things, that are MINE, around the house, ALL OF THE TIME? Must I continue to hide all of the scissors and all writing utensils? Must you lick the the rim of the toilet (under the seat, where all of the real nasty bits of toilet scum land)? Really!?!?!

For some odd reason, I believed Homeboy would all of the sudden stop these crazy antics, once he turned 3. Cause that's what Homey did. Homey turned 3, and my Angelic, lil, cherrub, resided within our humble abode for the next 10 years. Those were magical years.

Homeboy hasn't slowed down, one bit. Now there's temper tantrums, and angry words involved. "You huwt my feewings, mom!" "Your naughty, mom!"

*sigh*

I'm just thankful that he tells me he loves me, all of the time. And he'll give me a kiss when I ask for one (most of the time). And I love it when he picks up me and the hub's wedding photo, by my bed and says, "I miss you!", with such sincere, emotion. Awwww that kid! I could just give him a kiss...after I have washed his face and mouth with antibacterial soap, since he licked the toilet rim. Gag.

So anyhoo...

Remember, way back when, when I asked for your input on what fabric I should pick to sew new curtains for my kitchen? Well, what do you know, I'm finally blogging about it! Oh I could've forgotten all about that post, way back when, but my OCD tendencies will not allow it. Something about leaving stuff undone or unfinished. I'm a freak, it's true.

For the french doors I sewed curtains with the striped only. Love them.

This is a section of the bay window. I bought a gramet/ring kit from JoAnns. It was very easy to install. A little cutting, and snapping the rings together.

So far, I have received countless compliments and they look great in my kitchen!

The plan this week, is to post at least 3 times this week! Am I nuts? Maybe. And I'm seriously considering posting my OCD calendar again! I've kinda missed obsessing about carpet stains, and cleaning my oven.
