The posts that I never posted

Today I was thinking of the posts that I had planned on sharing with you, my friends, this past week... but due to horrible relenting circumstances (stomach flu x4, church calling, household duties) I was unable to achieve my blogging goals.
So here is a smaller version of what would've been this week's posts.

Remember my voluptuous, volcanic like zit that recently appeared on my face? (scroll down a bit. you can't miss it. it's huge!) I was going to give you a day by day account of it's size and symptoms. I even took a picture of Mount Jennifer on day three of it's existence. I was going to tell you that it erupted the previous day and that there were signs of it's recovery. Oh happy day! I was also going to rant about having zits at the age of 30 something. What the hay! I remember when I was fifteen and lamenting over how my life was over, because of zits and how I could not wait until I was all grown up and zit less. What happened!?!?!?!? Now I can only look forward to having my wrinkles camouflage my zits in between the folds of skin.

The next thing I was going to blog about was the next installment of And Then He Kissed Me. Yup. Didn't happen. October 4th was the anniversary of when "plumber guy" finally uttered the much anticipated word of "marriage" to me. And if you haven't noticed by now, I try coordinate my, And Then He Kissed Me installments with the actual dates, in which they happened. Instead I celebrated the anniversary by puking. All night. Blahhhhhhh! Don't worry... I plan on publishing part 14 soon.

And finally, I failed to post my weekly Flashback Friday segment. Yesterday was my mom's birthday and it was going to be all about her! Here's a little taste of what I would've posted.

Surprise Mom! No I did not steal your pictures.

Everyone asks me how my boys got sooo much hair. I think I know how. The hair gene skipped from my mom's head, past my bald noggin, and then to my boy's heads. My mom has red hair. Can you just imagine her as a two year old with all of those red curls?

Mom! A little riskay, wouldn't you say?

In honor of my Mom's birthday I would like to share some of her mom isms, that I grew up with.

1. You kids are acting just like Laman and Lemuel!

2. That's the way the cookie crumbles!

3. The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain. (What? I d'know. All I know is that we heard her say it often, growing up. I do know she loves the movie My Fair Lady)

4. Oh puke on it!

5. Where did I put my keys?

6. Did you see me put salt in this?

7. All I know is that I'm getting my food storage.

Happy Birthday Mom!

  1. Glad to have you back in the land of the living. I loved the "mom"isms. My favorited growing up was "because I said so, that's why" - I use it OFTEN now that I'm the mom.

  6. Happy Birthday Jen's mom! Jen - I know you MUST have been really sick since you didn't do your Flashback Friday - which I look forward to every week. And then, of course, there are the missing "...Kissed Me" segments - I've missed you! Glad you are feeling better.

That would have been a funny post - about Mt. Jennifer. See, I'm laughing anyway and you didn't even do the post. I feel your pain-I had relatively good skin in high school compared to how it is now. Argh.
