Everybody was kung-foo fighting

This is my latest dilemma. Conner will not eat any solid foods! When we first started to feed him the cereal and stage 1 baby foods, he would gag and spit out the food. "Okay, he's just not ready," I told myself. Whatever! Conner turned 7 months old today, and he has increased his defenses! Now when I try to feed him, he presses his lips together, as tight as he can, and he does his best wax-on, wax-off impression from the movie The Karate Kid. It's a duel of the fittest! I have tried a variety of foods and textures and I have not been successful yet. I have received tons of tips, and hopefully one of them will work. For now, I plan on polishing up on my Karate moves and sticking with it.

  2. His hair is looking really red. I don't know if it's the bib or what. It's nice to see someone else using the boppy as a high chair(:

  3. I LOVE the video! Wowie - you're not getting ANYTHING in those lips! Too funny! Good luck with that whole thing. Maybe he's too comfortable in his cozy chair. I wonder if you sat him in a booster chair that he'd know you meant business. That probably won't work either, but it's worth a try.

  4. LOVE the title.
Have you tried giving him something to hold and then feeding him while he's distracted with whatever it is? Maybe he wants the SPOON!!!

  5. So funny! I forget how little tiny ones can be! As long as he still have rolls of juicy, yummy baby fat, I wouldn't worry too much about getting it in...now if only someone would call my rolls juicy and yummy!!

  6. Sorry I don't have any words of wisdom. Looking at my kids you can tell we didn't have that problem at all.

  7. Still no success. Today I sat him in his bumble seat with the tray and let him hold a spoon. Your comments must have some how creeped into my head, because I tried those things before reading your comments! He will chew on the baby cookies. Go figure.
