1 month, 2 months...

Time is quickly passing and Homer (Beckham) is already 2 months old!  My cousin Stephanie is documenting her baby boy by taking his picture in a cute onesie every month.  I loved the idea so much, I am copying her!

I was talking to my mom one time on the phone and was telling her that I remembered my Aunt and little cousin taking me to lunch when I was attending RICKS college in Idaho. I believe Stephanie was 6ish-7ish at that time.  Never in my wildest imagination would I think that we would be having babies within months of each other!  Good grief, I am old.  I am slightly panicking due to my up and coming birthday.  I will be mourning the loss of my youth and trying to come up with solutions to not look like Homer's grandmother when he is 10.  Gulp.
I found several blogs that provided the printables for the iron-on transfers to make the onesies on Pinterest. *sigh* Pinterest!  I do love thee!  You are addicting!  You are the reason I want to redecorate my entire home!  You, complete me.  *sigh*

Awwwww!  Look at my tiny lil shnookums!

At 1 month old, I have no idea how much you weighed or low long you were.  I do know that at your two week visit you weighed 7 lbs, 6 oz.  That should count, right?
When you were two weeks old you turned from your tummy to your back!  I didn't believe it at first, but you did.  And you still do it!  Apparently, you hate tummy time.  You have proven to us that you have inherited the freakish Lewis strength.  This little feat just makes me scared for your toddler years.  So. Very. Scared.
You were already sleeping virtually through the night.  Just like your older brothers.  After a bath and a bottle, you go down from 10:30ish at night, and you wake up around 8:00am.  We have been blessed!
You have another bottle when you wake up, then sleep for another 2 hours.
You are a laid back, baby and only cry when you want to eat, which is every 3 hours, or when you need to burp.
You were very alert at this time and constantly move your arms and legs!
I love the fact that you have dark hair!  I hope it stays dark!
You look a lot like your old brother Homeboy (Conner) did at the same age.  You are bigger than he was at that age, though.

2 months old already!
You are sporting an old-man hair do!  You have lost a little hair on top, but it is starting to grow back.
At your 2 months check up, you weighed 11.2 lbs and you are 23 inches long!  You are my chunkay monkay!
You are in the 50th percentile for height and 60th percentile for weight.  As time goes on, I am sure this will decrease because we are a family of midgets.
Your head only measured to be in the 10th percentile.  The doctor said that your head is okay since our family has small heads.  He said this, as he looked at your dad and Homeboy's heads!  I have to admit it, I laughed out loud when he said this.
You are smiling and starting to make cooing noises!  I believe you smile the most at your momma!  The fact is... I rock.

You are also beginning to drool alot and blow bubbles.  Did you know that your oldest brother Homey has over-active saliva glands?  The dentist made us aware of that.  It's no wonder that my shoulder is covered in slobber!
You also have thrush in your mouth.  Your older brothers never got thrush so I was unaware of this little issue until your doctor told us.  It doesn't seem to bother you and we have just been injecting the medicine into your mouth on a daily basis, 4 times a day!  No worries!

You have continued to keep the same sleep pattern.  Go to bed around 10:30pm and wake up around 8:00am.
You get a couple of good naps in, during the day, and you enjoy sitting in your vibrating, bouncy seat.  You do not enjoy the swing that much, but  have a feeling you will when you are a little older.
When you want to eat, you are sure to let us know by crying.  Loudly.
We feed you about every 2.5-3 hours.  When I sit down to prepare to feed you, you know the routine so well, that you straighten your back out and have a fit if I try to bend you or adjust the position of your body.  Lil stinker!
You hate being put in your car seat but as soon as we pick you up and start moving, you calm down immediately.

You are such a good baby and a complete joy to have you in our lives now!  I can't imagine not having you here!
