Easter 2011

Easter 2011 was a success! Although cold, we enjoyed an Easter egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa Lewis' and an awesome barbecue at my Sis-in-law's parent's home. It is becoming an annual event for us to spend time with her family, at Easter time. We are so appreciative and thankful to have such wonderful people include us!

Easter morning, the hubs kept complaining about Homeboy's new shoes... "These shoes are hard to put on! Are you sure they are the right size? You need to take these back! Blah, blah, blah, blah!"

I just couldn't understand what the problem was! They went on fine the previous day, when Homeboy tried them on at the store!

Well, after loading the above picture onto my computer, I noticed what the problem was.

It helps to put the shoes on the right feet!!! Sheesh. I fear what the lives of my family would be like without me around. That's right - momma is the hub of everything going smoothly around here!

Homeboy was all into the Easter egg hunting this year! And I think I have found an activity for him, to keep him busy and out of trouble. Heck, I'm willing to have an Easter egg hunt EVERYDAY now! I may just even have some invisible eggs hidden in the yard, also. (insert evil laughter. Wahhahahahaha!) Naw, that's a little mean. Sorta.

Check out Homeboy and his cute cousin! That girl is loads of entertainment! She is her father's child...

By looking at the two of them, side by side, you wouldn't know that Homeboy is actually 1 year older. I have mini-children.

Look at my boys!

All decked out for church! They sure do clean up nice!

One of the favorite things that Homeboy received in his Easter basket were Gummy Bears.

The following day I caught him storing some Gummy Bears in his "special pocket" in the front of his underwear. Yum. At least they will be warm and extra squishy.

This year we were able to spend time with family, friends, and we were able to reflect on the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. I'm so thankful that I have the opportunity to have my eternal family!

  1. Okay. First off, what a clever use of that little flap in the front of his undies. That's why I'm not a boy. I would never have thought of it! Your boys are so handsome.

Tell me what you think... only if it compliments me and my, sometimes humorous, sometimes weird, sometimes creative, post! No meanies allowed!
