Teacher/Thank you gift idea

After the many changes that have gone on in my ward this past week, I wanted to give a nice "thank you" gift to the two ladies I served with in RS and to our Primary President that was recently released. All three of these ladies are some of the hardest working ladies that I know! Jennie (the Primary President that I have replaced) reminded me of a little bumble bee, buzzing around the Primary Hive every Sunday. I knew these ladies deserved a rest (of course, that was before they were called to their new callings).

I bought these tins at Roberts Craft. I love these tins! They come in different shapes and sizes and even in different colors.

I used my Cricut to cut out the circles out of scrapbook paper and glued them on top of one another on to the lid of the tin. Then I cut out two tags and glued the saying on to the tags.

The first tag says, "you deserve a rest," and the second tag says, "for being the best!"

I know what you are thinking... wow Jen! You are so clever!

Inside of the tins I placed marble magnets, that I made, and some strips of paper that have ideas to rest and relax. The point is to place one of the strips of paper on your fridge every day with a magnet, as a little reminder. Some of us need a reminder to rest and relax. And that "some of us," would mainly be me. I have issues.

The first tip says: Chocolate! (no explanation needed)

The second: After much running around your toes deserve some sparkle.

The third: Enjoy a refreshing beverage.

The forth: Take some time to read a good book.

The fifth: Game Night!

The sixth: Lock the bathroom door, light some candles, and have a nice soak in the tub.

Then I placed a brownie mix, a bottle of their favorite beverage, a gift card to Seagull Book, some Dove chocolates, some nail polish for their toes, and some bath items (a scrubby thingy, and a packet of bath salt stuff), and a card game, into a basket.

I wrapped everything (tin included) in cellophane and added a tag: "Day after day, month after month, you worked hard and now it's time for a reward. Take a week to enjoy something sweet! In the tin you will find, some ideas to help you unwind!"
