Giveaway! You're a dork if you don't participate!

Hey friends! As promised, I have an awesome giveaway for you. And let me just tell ya... it's cu-ute! It's so cute, I may just have to make me a set.

What did I tell you? Huh? Huh?

Did I disappoint?

I think not!

I made this set of "Spring" blocks with bright and cheery colors, that will make you smile and giggle with glee! Okay, maybe not. I'm pushing it.
Here's a close up...

Good golly Miss Molly, these are sweet blocks! I know you want them....

When I finished making these adorable blocks, that one of YOU could win (wink, wink), I asked my beloved husband what he thought of them. He said, "Uh, you spelled spring wrong". Such a dork.

So anyhoo, here's how one of YOU, can win this ultimate spring block set, that would look oh so cute on your fireplace mantle. Or that shelf in your living room. Or on that table in the entry way.
Write the answer to this question in your comment....

What is your favorite cleaning tip/s?

I was going to ask you what I accidentally revealed to my future mother-in-law during church, when I was dating my hunk of burning love. But then I feared my mother's re-action. Because I embarrass her so! So instead, I decided to keep it clean. Literally.

So you wanna know how you could have another chance to win?

Tell your friend's, your mother's, or your roommate's brother's second cousin, about my giveaway in a post on your own blog. Then link it back to moi! Once you have done this, comment again and mention that you "Linked" me!

At the end of the giveaway I will enter your name twice (if you linked me) in a hat and then I will have my official winner picker-er, pick the winner's name out of the hat.

The official winner picker-er. Are you scared? You should be.
I'll make sure he washes his hands before he picks your name.

You have til April 1st (Wednesday) to enter a chance to win the cutest "Spring" blocks ever! Good luck my friends!

  6. I can't link you because my computer is currently crashing. Just to comment I had to let it dump 'physical memory' or something like that. Nice, huh? Only for you, Jen. Only for YOU.

Um, my favorite cleaning tip is to wash your hair a couple times a week.

    Okay, not really.

My favorite cleaning tip is to use my floss threaders and floss my sick gangsta teeth to get the food out of them.

    Or...

My favorite cleaning tip is to clean behind my fridge after milk leaks back there and it starts smelling like butt.

    Good enough?

    Is

  7. Did you see the 'is' at the bottom of my comment?

    Computer... crashing.... dying....

  8. My favorite cleaning tip is to make your own laundry detergent. It really does work just as well as Tide, and for a fraction of the cost!

Also, an old toothbrush is great for getting those little corners around your toilet seat. (Just remember it's not for brushing teeth after that!)

  9. O.K. I posted the link on my blog. Pick me! Pick me!

  10. My favorite cleaning tip is to keep a well stocked supply of Clorox wipes. They are great to wipe the floor after someone has missed the toilet, clean toys....Somehow I think you use them.!

  12. My favorite cleaning tip is to just hire a maid:)!!
JK Pick up as you go, that way your not left with a big mess at the end.

So this is Becca's sisters. I just wanted to tell you how much I love the blankets you made. The pink with the brown ric-rac is my favorite and I get comments daily on it. If you ever want to sell more of those I have had many people ask.
You are one talented girl! Love the blocks!

  13. Cleaning tip - get a Downy Ball for your washer if you use liquid fabric softener. I have spent too many intimate moments trying to pry ear-wax conistancy softener from the 'automatic,' built in dispenser. gross.

Also, YOU HAVE A LINK at my Blog spot. You can Count Me Twice :o)

  14. I am seriously in to much pain to list my favorite cleaning tip. I am going to say its the towel fuzz tip because that is my current cleaning problem. (Even though I haven't read the tip yet, thats my favorite)

And hell.. I am popping this baby out in 4 days.... I deserve a cute set of SPRING blocks.

BTW, they are super duper cute. Good job.

  15. Okay, the blocks are so stinkin' cute! When I don't win them (because I NEVER win anything!!), would you just make another set and I'll pay $$ for them? :)

My fav cleaning product is Orange Zep--dilute it 1:1 with water and it is the best multi-purpose cleaner EVER!! (Get it at Home Depot)

  16. Oh, my heavens these are so adorable, I would absolutely love to win them. Ok, I always struggle with the whole blogging about it on my own blog, it lessens my own chances. But, I'm going to not be selfish and go and blog about it. Ok, cleaning advice....my favorite cleaning product is from Don Asletts cleaing center, it's called showers n' stuff. It's amazing but they only have these stores in Idaho and Utah.

  17. My favorite cleaning tip is not for every day cleaning, but for cleaning (deep cleaning!) video games, DVD's and any sort of disc! All you need is some cooking oil (canola, vegetable) and super soft tissues. Starting at the center of the disc to the outer ring rub the oil on in small circular motion. Continue until the whole surface of the disc is covered. Then let sit for 15-30 min, wash off wish dish liquid, then thoroughly rinse with hot water. Dry with super soft tissue and VOILA...disc clean and repaired!
I thought I would pass along a cleaning tip that was a little different, and one that any Mom can certainly appreciate!!

Sooooo crossing my fingers to win this one!! Super cute!!!

  19. Those are adorable!

My cleaning tip is to have a rule that if it sits on a horizontal surface for more than 48 hours without moving it gets thrown away. It really encourages the other people in the house to put their things away!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Okay, my favorite cleaning tip is to put a mug of water in your microwave and cook it until it boils. Then, because of the steam, you can just wipe the gunk away with a paper towel.

I also love Showers'n'stuff from Don Aslett's cleaning center.

Oh, and one more (sorry)...I use vinegar to clean my floors. I know it stinks, but once it dries you can't smell it. Using a commercial cleaner (especially on carpet) leaves a residue that attracts dirt. The vinegar doesn't leave any residue.

My e-mail is thequiltingbee2003 at yahoo dot com (ya know, just in case I win those super cute blocks)

My favorite cleaning tip is to use a dryer sheet on hard water stains. I use windex and a dryer sheet to clean the inside of my glass shower and it works like a charm!

  28. Cleaning tips!! Am I supposed to clean... What the hell did I have children for!!!Oh I remember because I love them... My favorite cleaning tip is for removing blood... from the carpet. Our Kaiser cut his paw and we came home to what looked like the scene of a homicide... The pharmacist told us to pour straight ammonia on it and pat with a paper towel, repeat until no more blood. Works like a charm.. My house no longer looks like the scene of a violent homicide. Also I moved to a different one that helped.. LOL

  29. Wow, I love all of the cleaning tips, I'm going to try cleaning some DVDs tomorrow. My favorite cleaning tip is to use Spot Shot for carpet stains, it stinks but will take almost anything out - including blood. I use Hydrogen Peroxide for blood stains on clothes. It's amazing how many blood stains you get when 2 yr old boys play indoor baseball.

Some of my favorite cleaning tips:
Bar Keepers Friend for stainless steel and solid surface sinks,
Vinegar for hard water spots, and homemade "windex". The recipe is here- http://karaskitchencreations.blogspot.com/2009/01/frugal-friday-you-do-not-want-to-eat.html

  34. Hmmm, I don't have any super cleaning secrets. I do know that I love lemon extract because it will take almost any stain off your counter or table top. I have left my stupid cookie sheet on the counter once and it left a rust stain on the counter. Lemon extract almost comletely took it out to where you don't even notice it :)
Good luck! Looks like a lot of people to draw names from!

  43. Baby wipes on shoes. They take out any scuffs and such on white shoes. I also like windex on my countertops so they sparkle. Just don't ask me the last time I did it. Now tell that little Conner to pick Konner's mommy!

  44. My favorite cleaning tip is to clean everyday. You just cant let it go or it piles up on you. I spend at least 30 minutes everyday cleaning then I dont fell so overwhelmed by the big stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Wow!!!!Your sight is going national!! My favorite cleaning tip is to clean my shower while I am showering. I use an old toothbrush to clean around all the jets because they get so much gunk around them and I also clean around the grout line with my handy toothbrush. I am also really fond of febreeze. It really does get rid of obnoxious smells like a boys bathroom(:

    ReplyDelete
  46. It's on my blog! By the way, the blocks are super cute! It's sad but down here in a couple of weeks I'll be getting my "summer" stuff out, but if I won, I would keep them on my special shelf in my front room for everyone to see with a little sign that said created by Jen Lewis all through the summer!!!!!!!! Come on Connor you know you love your Aunt Jenny the mostest!!!

    ReplyDelete
  47. I take my shower curtain down (the plastic one), proceed outside, lay it flat on the driveway and scrub. It is so much easier than any other method I know of. Unless I read something on here that sounds better.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Oh my heck, I LOVE IT! I learned this cleaning tip from my sister, and i think it works great. Give your little one a diaper wipe and let them clean the base boards.

    ReplyDelete
  49. My favorite cleaning tip is to pour a bit of white vinegar into a small plastic bag. Then put it over the shower head in the bathroom and attach with a rubber band. Let it sit that way for several hours and remove. This is a great way to get rid of the hard water build up and open the holes in the shower head!

  50. Baking soda. Does all sorts of tricks!

  51. My favorite cleaning tip is to pick up and clean something everyday. This way you never feel too overwhelmed. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to win these spring blocks!

  52. First off, let me just start by saying "I NEVER WIN ANYTHING!!!" So I hope I win because the blocks are 'get out of town' cute! I linked you, even put a picture of your blocks to advertise on my blog docscrowsnest.blogspot.com.

And my cleaning tip is ----Did I tell you I'm the blood daughter of the "White Tornado?" She can clean anything and this tip has been proven over and over again, year after year. If you are in doubt bring it to my house and I'll prove it to you. You'll thank me later.

So listen up ladies. Did your husband go out and work on the family car in is white Sunday shirt again? Why do men do this? So here's the skinny on how to save the shirt.

It's best to do this over the kitchen sink. Rub real butter into the grease spot. Yes, you heard me --- I said REAL BUTTER!!! Put a little elbow grit into it. Rub the butter in hard. Take your thumbs and take the material and the butter and rub like crazy back and forth. Do this until you see the grease start to smear and lift.

Now get your favorite bar of hand held soap. Dawn dish soap works great too (that is the only kind of dish soap any woman should buy.) Put on some rubber gloves and get the tap water as hot as you can take it. Hotter! Now take the bar of soap and rub and scrub out the butter. Rinse, soap it up, scrub, rinse!

Presto - grease is gone and so is the butter. Now just launder normally and send me flowers for saving you from having to throw another article of clothing away!

    My mother --- she's a genious!

  53. Ca-ute! I must have them!!! My favorite cleaning tip is to be obsessive about making messes before they happen. Not much fun, but works so far.

My cleaning tip? Only do laundry once a week...life is too short and your kids are too sweet to miss out on the little things b/c you are folding laundry. Save it all for movie night with your hubbie.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Always clean from top to bottom!
*bathroom*-mirrors, counters, sink, floors. *kitchen* cabinets, counters, cabinets, floorts*
This way you don't clean anything twice! All the dirt falls from the top and is cleaned off the next surface.

Maran sent me over here...very cute stuff!
