Flashback Friday! 4th of July Parade

Awwwww young love. 13 years ago I invited my future husband to come home with me and partake of the 4th of July activities. One of these treasured activities was the 4th of July Parade.

This picture was taken on the weekend of July 4th of 1995! We were young and completely infatuated with each other. This particular 4th of July was filled with a little drama and love. Love sweet love!

My little home town's parade consists of little old men driving fancy old cars, horses, rodeo queen's, and the beer float! (I will be featuring a post in the near future of this years parade!)

Here are some other "interesting" characters that have participated in various parades.

What a large adams apple you have, Madge? And not to mention, a large neck.

Do a little dance, get down tonight... get down tonight! Go Mabel! Go Mabel! Shake your money maker!

Well hello there, Cupid. How you doin'? Oh never mind.... you swing the other way.

Well hello there pasty white guy. Oh never mind... you also swing the other way! What kind of parade is this?

Randy was thrilled to find out that he would be the "head majorette" for the parade!

So do any of you have any fond memories of the parades you have gone to?

  4. that's a great picture of you two. My favorite parade memory was the last time we came home and the gusy almost got into a fight with the Mexicans for taking candy from the little kids. Randy told the dude to let the kids get the candy and the dude called him on. Well, then Larry, Trent, Scott and Alex stood up and started walking towards him and dad and Randy thought about getting their guns. It was great excitement!!

Tell me what you think... only if it compliments me and my, sometimes humorous, sometimes weird, sometimes creative, post! No meanies allowed!
