Christmas Shin-dig

This past Friday was my husband's annual family Christmas party. We each take turns being in charge of the festivities and... kiss my grits, I was not in charge this year! It was pure bliss to be able to sit back and enjoy this joyous event. My sister in law, Kate did an awesome job!

We stuffed our faces full of smoked turkey and ham, rolls and not to mention, Kate's fudge! Oh mother of Moses it's good fudge!

Here's some of the fam-damily stuffing our faces.

Kate arranged to have Santa make an appearance.
Here comes Santa Clause, Here comes Santa Clause,
Right down Santa Clause Lane....

Here's Santa scaring the living day lights out of my cute little niece, Whitley. Santa can be evil.

Here's a little man after my very own heart... he asked for a vacuum for Christmas. You have trained him well, Kate. You have trained him well.

Here's my baby sitting on Santa's lap. He was a bit befuddled with Santa.

I'm pretty sure Conner was thinking this... "Who is this hairy man and why have my parents forced me to sit on this stranger's lap?"

Here's my other punk, kid. He thinks he's too old to be sitting on Santa's lap, but we think other wise. Look how thrilled he is. And look at his stupid hair-do. I'm loosing control, people. He didn't want me to "style" his hair for the party. Poop head.

Here he is trying to escape from Santa's grasp.

It didn't take too long for us to learn that the Santa impersonator, was a "dirty" Santa. He blended in with the family just fine...

Here's Santa doing a lap dance on one of my sister in law's laps. The "Santa gig" is his second job. His job of preference, is a Chip -n- dale's dancer. (I'm just kidding. He was a great Santa!)

All in all, it was a great night. We laughed, we played games (which I believe were rigged. Ahem!) and Kate survived the night.

Here's Conner with his loot. He spent most of the evening swiping the other children's candy. We have trained him well.

  1. Looks like everyone was having a great time!! Wish we could have been there..Alex was stranded in Reno, waiting to fly to Vegas. Then the plans changed and he flew to Spokane instead. Brock, Scott and I were at a wrestling tournament and Kassy was home alone.. Reminds me of the movies HOME ALONE without the breakins. Scary times. Merry Christmas to all...

  2. What a fun party. In my fun hubby's family party we just sit around and hope it ends quickly. At my family party we eat. Then we eat again. Fun! Are you going to make Cody sit on Santa's lap when he's 23? I hope so!

  4. You are too funny - calling Cody a poop head! I remember calling my brothers that! I had to laugh out loud at that one. I'm glad that Conner has been trained well, hopefully there was some good candy in there to share with his parents. That's nice that ya'll take turns being in charge of the family party - it looks like it was fun!

  8. Merry Christmas! Looks like you had a fun party. For me, they are always better when you can relax and someone else has to be in charge! Love the pictures of Conner and Cody on Santa's lap! Cody looked absolutely mortified! This photo should give you plenty of blackmail leverage for the teen years!
